Founded in 1900, designed by architect Jacobs of Saint-Gilles, later extended around 1911 according to the cadastral change sketches, and made available to independent education from 1926; now used as a municipal storage depot.
As early as 23 November 1897 permission was requested to build a “school hall” in the hamlet of Lo; 15 ares of land were bought along the Zaventemsesteenweg for this purpose, later extended to 20 ares. The building was completed in 1900 and registered in the land register that same year.
Judging from old postcards and the slightly different appearance, with bands of white brick, the right-hand part, four bays wide, is a later extension, probably from 1910 (see also the change sketches). The complex now consists of a characteristic brick classroom wing of thirteen bays and one storey under a pantiled saddle roof with stepped side gables, the ridge parallel to the street. Flat façade on a cemented plinth, marked by contrasting white brick bands and stepped dormers in the door bays. The formerly segmental-arched windows were lowered and made rectangular. A walled playground lies to the west.
