Arthur Peeters meant a great deal to Diegem and its inhabitants in many ways. Between 1960 and 1980, for example, he photographed every couple who got married.
Arthur was a photographer, but at the same time also a renowned artist. Among other things, he founded the drawing studio in Marga Castle. Five years ago he decided, given his advanced age, to take a step back, but the drawing studio still bears his name to this day.
in memory of my friend Arthur
He dreamed of a history walking trail. Here are a few examples; there are 40 information panels in total.
A total of 40 information panels on the history of Diegem. They make use of a great deal of photographic material and postcards, including material from private individuals.
The circuit is not designed as a loop: each information panel can be viewed separately. Each panel does indicate where the other panels are located.
